Civil Process Fees
Notice of Fee Changes
Effective September 1, 2010, the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office Civil Division will be changing the mileage fees and fees for service collected in order to comply with amendments made to Colorado Revised Statutes 30-1-104, 30-1-105, 30-1-105.5, 30-1-106, 30-1-107 and 30-1-116, in House Bill 10-1057, effective August 11, 2010.
Zone Based Mileage Fees
A zone based mileage fee will be assessed for the address where the non-criminal civil papers are to be served by using the Zone Round Trip Mileage structure, and then multiplied by the current mileage rate ( §24-9-104), as approved by the Clear Creek County Board of Commissioners under resolution number R-10-81, on August 11, 2010. This zone based mileage fee will be charged for each (1-day) operational period, regardless of the number of attempts made, or the actual number of miles traveled in effecting service per (1-day) operational period. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the Sheriff’s Office Civil Division of the number of days to be attempted for each paper to be served.
Serving two or more Papers
If serving two or more papers on the same person
or on a different person AT THE SAME TIME AND PLACE
AND IN THE SAME ACTION the fee charged will be the
highest allowable fee for the first process, and
an additional $10.00 for the second or more processes
served at the same time, plus one mileage fee charged
for all papers served at one time.
Criminal Mileage Fee
For criminal papers served, mileage will be calculated
for each mile actually and necessarily traveled
and then multiplied by the current mileage rate
( §24-9-104), as approved by the Clear Creek
County Board of Commissioners under resolution number
R-10-95, on August 25, 2010.

| PREPAYMENT OF SERVICE FEE PLUS MILEAGE FEE FOR NUMBER OF DAYS TO ATTEMPT SERVICE IS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE per §30-1-116. If service is executed in less days, a refund will be returned to the customer with the proof of service. | |||||||
